I like to refer to Bali as the hotter version of Melbourne. Like Melbourne it has amazing food, epic coffee and unlike Melbourne, perfect weather and beaches. If you’re headed to Bali to experience this tropical paradise make sure while you’re there to sample some of the amazing Bali cafe culture. From clean-eating brunches to cold pressed goodness here’s where to get your Bali coffee fix.

Betelnut Cafe

Hidden away in my favourite neighbourhood of Bali, Canggu is the super healthy cafe – Betelnut. Head here if you’re feeling a little pudgy after a few to many cocktails poolside. The menu features clean eating favourites like salad bowls, incredible smoothies and gado-gado platters. All polished off with a guilt-free, clean treat.

Sisterfields is definitely one of the top Bali coffee shops. These smoothies were incredible!

Sisterfields cafe Bali would not be out of place on any list of the best cafes around the world. The trendy decor is only out-done by the incredible food. With dishes like superfood smoothies, acai bowls, lobster sliders and polenta chips it’s the perfect way to start any day in this tropical paradise.

Sea Circus

Delicious nachos at Sea Circus. One of the best Bali coffee shops.

Mexican + brunch sound like your idea of heaven? Then you’ve come to the right place.  Sea Circus, a Bali institute is the spot to head on your way to your daily massage at Bodyworks. From corn fritters, to coconut chia pudding and a range of happy hangover meals this Bali brunch is a must-try.

Revolver Espresso

Grungy and cool, you could say Revolver Espresso is the bad boy of the Bali coffee scene. Focusing on serving up fantastic coffee paired with a fresh Australian style breakfast, this teeny cafe in Bali is a perfect place to stop off before a day of shopping in Seminyak.

Grocer And Grind

The team at Grocer and Grind have been ‘grinding’ for over 10 years now, bringing the Bali expat scene and travellers some of the best coffee on the island. The menu features items like delicious smoothie bowls, epic avo on toast and some next-level palm sugar pancakes with caramelised banana, candied walnuts and crispy bacon. And is a go-to when you’ve had too much Nasi-goreng.

Deus Ex Machina

Another of the best cafes in Bali situated in the heart of my favourite neighbourhood Canggu. Deus Ex Machina serves up a laid-back breakfast for the surfer crowd of Echo beach. Menu items feature hearty classics like breakfast burritos, eggs and bacon and there’s a range of fresh baked pastries and gourmet coffee.

 Nalu Bowls Bali

Is there anywhere more perfect to enjoy an acai bowl? This Bali coffee shop is one of my faves.

Now if you’ve been following my Instagram, you’ll know I’m a massive fan of acai. And munching on acai while overlooking in the stunning ocean at in Uluwatu is my idea of heaven. Nalu is a little surf shack that’s part of Single Fin Bar and serve up the best acai in town and practically nothing else. It’s the best spot for a nourishing breakfast post surf or swim. And better yet, they’ve just opened a spot in Seminyak.

The Basics

where i stayed: bali has many fantastic accomodation options. If you’re looking to treat yo’self you have to hit up the w hotel or double 6 hotel. In your more affordable range there’s the gorgeous upasha with it’s own rooftop pool. The best total budget include tanayna bed and breakfast and and m boutique hostel which both go for under $10.
